Hello, Blue Dog...

In addition to the opportunities listed below... we need:

FLYER HANGERS... if you are interested in hanging flyers for us in central Texas (Austin, Round Rock, Bastrop, etc), then we would LOVE to have your help! We only want them to be hung in "acceptable" spots... like bulletin boards in coffee shops, break rooms, etc. (We don't want to be a nuisance and hang them where they might not be wanted!)

If you are interested in helping out... please email amy@bluedogrescue.com and let her know:

how many you are willing to hang (usual commitment is 5-15)
your mailing address
where you plan to hang them (Cedar Park, downtown Austin, etc)- just so we know what areas we might be missing

The flyers are mailed out generally once a month... they are potentially the BEST way for new potential adopters to find out about Blue Dog and are an essential part of our marketing campaign...

Full	Marathon Expo Friday, February 12, 2:00pm - 7:00pm (5 hours) This is an opportunity to talk to the athletes picking up their packets... and tell them more about BDR, what we do, etc. We pass out information and hope to have a Blue Dog on site as this is always a way to attract attention!

(Unlimited slots)	Austin Marathon Blue Dog Rescue waterstop Sunday, February 14, 6:00am - 10:00am (4 hours) This event starts early, but it is one of our favorite events of the year... it is so much fun to watch the runners, pass out energy drinks and water and cheer on the runners! Blue Dog Rescue is one of the benefitting charities associated with this event... we are the only animal-rescue group selected! This will be our 3rd year to run a water stop and it is a BLAST! We hear (from many of the participating athletes) that we have "the most fun" waterstop as we try to give them the energy for run their best race... even our real Blue Dog (in costume) is there to provide extra entertainment!
